Lakers Men's Soccer Team Traveled to Olympia, WA. on October 24, 2009 to match up against S. Puget Sound. SW Oregon is still in the playoff race if they are able to defeat the remainder of opponents on their schedule. They still have 4 games and if they can pull off a win in every game they are still in it.

Manny Mendoza #13 scores the first goal in a stunning 27 seconds and puts the Lakers up 1-0 in the first minute. 11 minutes later Manny Mendoza finds the net again to set the game at 2-0. Drue Harris #12 scores his 4th goal of the season at the 26th minute. Drue Harris was out for a few games as he was battling an illness, but is now back and healthy. Tillerman Kroon #11 wanted a goal as he scores at the 39th minute setting the scoreboard at 4-0. Right before halftime Drue Harris shows no mercy and scores his second goal of the match at the 41st minute. Manny Mendoza and Drue Harris both had 2 goals a piece by halftime.

During the second half of the game S. Puget Sound scores a goal at the 55th minute. 5-1 is the score when Drue Harris pulling away with the hat-trick scores his third goal of the match in the 59th minute. A stunning performance by Drue Harris. S. Puget Sound scores one more goal to end the game at 6-2 in favor of the Men's Laker's Soccer Team.

Coach Ray was very satisfied with the performance of his team. The team raised their spirits after two straight losses against Chemeketa and Clark. The team can definately reach playoff dreams, they just need to execute and finish against their next opponents. Which unfortunately is against #1 team in the South Division Chemeketa and #2 team, Clark. SW Oregon will play these teams on home turf so come out and support the team and help them achieve their playoff dreams!
